Family Of The Late Musician Sammy Kasule Decides His Burial Place

Following the demise of musician Sammy Kasule, an integral member of the legendary Afrigo Band, his family has come out to clarify where they will lay his body to rest.

Kasule a guitarist in the band passed away in Amsterdam from heart complications. He was en route to a concert with the Afrigo Band.

Many have proposed that they transfer the singer to Stockholm for a special assessment where his family lives.

There has been speculation over the last few days on where they will bury him. Kasule started his career in the 70’s has lived in Stockholm Sweden with his family for over 30 years.

At the same time, people wondered if they would lay him to rest at his ancestral home in Masulita. This is where he kick-started his career from.

However, through the official Facebook page of his Ugandan based band “Ziwuuna”, they revealed they will lay the late to rest in Sweden.

“We can now confirm that the late Sammy Kasule Kibirige will be buried in Stockholm, Sweden. The date and arrangements for his funeral will be communicated later. MHSRIP,” the statement read.

However, Jack Kinone Sserunkuma who doubles as an artist and member of the Uganda musicians club revealed they had plans for Ugandans to attend the burial virtually at the Uganda National Cultural Center.

He also confirmed the developments to bury Kasule in Sweden. He said it was a decision by his family and nobody could oppose or make a fuss about it.
