Faridah through her Twitter page revealed that she’s been studying the rate of corruption in the country. She did this while studying the rate of the country’s economic growth too.
After her analysis, she came to the conclusion that things might just be getting worse. Therefore the only solution left for people like her is to relocate to another country.
However much this might be painful, it’s the only solution to all these woes according to the popular TV host.
“I have been attentively looking at Uganda’s economy versus the rate of corruption. I am worried things can only get worse. Relocating is painful but could be the closest solution for many people like me,” she tweeted.
Well, if a person of Faridah’s stature can cry foul about the Ugandan economy, pity the ordinary citizen. It must be just hard days for him/her on a daily basis.
Living in Uganda has become quite expensive recently with prices of basic commodities skyrocketing.
These have gone out of reach for the low-income earners yet they are necessary. And the government is yet to provide a solution as a number of factors such as the Ukraine-Russian conflict and COVID-19 have been largely blamed.
And if people like Faridah Nakazibwe start fleeing the country, then fear has to really grip you up. Who knows maybe she could be on her way to the Middle East for a ‘kyeyo‘ although this seems highly unlikely.
