FDC Candidate Wins Kyambogo University Guild Presidential Race

FDC is over the moon after their candidate won the Kyambogo University guild presidential race. Tumwiine Serge apparently won at all polling stations.

FDC proudly celebrated this win on their social media platforms.

“Thank you Kyambogo University! Our candidate Tumwine Serge Wins all polling stations in the Kyambogo University Guild race with a landslide. Kyambogo University is blue”

This celebration is justified because everyone thought the NUP candidate had this win already. Mandu Mandwa Elijah, the NUP candidate had a lot of crowds around him.

They even doubled on Tuesday when Senyonyi and Lewis showed up for his campaigns. The coming of the NUP Spokesperson and Secretary-General had built hopes of Elijah winning, however, it wasn’t so.

The social media community however was divided about this win. Some say it was about time NUP found out that they are not indispensable.

On the other hand, NUP supporters said for as long as NRM didn’t win, it is okay.

“Seeing Kyambogo voting the right candidate regardless of the bandwagon is amazing. There is hope for our generation. Thank you @FDCOfficial1 for the Support you have given to Serge,” a one Violet Hills commented.

“Am NUP & congs to him. As long as it’s not NRM. However, according to FDC supporter comments, they wish at least NRM won those other universities but not NUP. The hate for NUP is real!!” a one Kas Zamil said.

Meanwhile, Tumwine Serge is a third-year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

He is also the outgoing Speaker of the Kyambogo University GRC. A GRC representing evening students and a former GRC at the Faculty of Engineering.
