Fortebet over the weekend donated over 200 balls to various schools in Mbale and soroti as a way of giving back to the community.
The give back started at Mbale’s North Road Primary School. Here, Fortebet, led by the Media Manager, John Nanyumba handed over 20 soccer balls, netballs and volley balls. In addition, Fortebet also donated over 30 jersey kits for netballers-which they will be wearing during training and completions.
Fortebet proceeded to Soroti where they handed over 100 soccer balls to the district leadership led by the deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Herbert Henry Obale together with the district Sports Officer, Nicholas Opio. The handover was done at Soroti district headquarters on Saturday.
“One of the main objectives of Fortebet is talent development. To ensure this, this development has to start with the young blood. This is why we have chosen to invest in these young kids. We want to have a replacement of Denis Onyango, Farouk Miya etc,” said Nayumba while handing over the balls in Soroti. In his words of appreciation, Obale said, “i want to thank Fortebet for this gesture.
I can’t believe what you have done for us because no company has ever done this for us. We are going to distribute these balls to various schools and we shall demand accountability by way of going far in terms of football competitions.”
Earlier, Fortebet had donated over 20 balls to Elios Soccer Academy in Gganda-Nansana.
