Fortebet Donates To Arua School For Needy Children

Last weekend, Fortebet extended a helping hand to the needy children in Arua with a donation of various scholastic materials worthy millions. Fortebet aided Greenland Nursery and Primary school with hundred of books, chalk, long metre rulers, pens, dusters and mathematical sets. F0rtebet also donated to the school footballs and netballs plus a 120 litre trash can. The donation was delivered by Fortebet’s Media Manager, John Nanyumba together with Arua Regional Manager, Sarah Namubiru.

Talking to us shortly after receiving the donation, the school caretaker, Isaac Alemiga said that, “We wanted this help from Fortebet yesterday. This is a community school that helps educate mostly the needy children of this slum area.

For example, we have about 60 pupils who are totally orphans and they entirely depend on the school.” He added, “We are extremely grateful for these materials because we shall now use the money that we were supposed to spend on such for buying other necessities like food. The balls will also give us a very big boost in promotion of our football and netball team. Thank you so much team Fortebet.”

Talking before the teachers together with the pupils, Nanyumba said that, “We feel we have a responsibility of taking part in nation building.” Nanyumba added that, “ We were reliably informed that this school has so many needy children. This is why we decided to aide them, so as to give such children an opportunity to have access to good education.”
