Frank Gashumba Accuses NRM Minister Of Stealing Meat And Rice At PLU Rally

Tensions in the Gen Muhoozi-led Patriotic League of Uganda(PLU) seem to be deepening. In doing so, weird secrets are coming out. Frank Gashumba, the civic organization’s vice chairperson for central region has accused a Museveni minister of stealing rice and meat at a rally in Masaka

It should be noted that Gashumba a few days ago issued a statement about the worrying security state in the country.

He said that if all the heads of security can’t protect Ugandans, they should resign. He went ahead to attach a photo of the new Police IGP Abbas Byakagaba and the CDF, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

This tweet has since landed him in trouble with the PLU heads. Gashumba is currently clashing with the group’s Director of Mobilization, Hon Michael Mawanda. Mawanda issued a statement summoning the self-styled businessman for a disciplinary hearing.

The manner in which Gashumba was summoned irritated him and he decided to issue a counter statement. In this letter, Gashumba said that the manner in which he was summoned was disrespectful.

It further shows the total disregard Mawanda has for him. He reminded him that he’s not a government worker like the former with a fixed salary. He has responsibilities and a schedule to follow.

Furthermore, Frank Gashumba pointed out his own issues that he’s reported to the committee but have been ignored. However, when he talked about a serious issue of security, everyone seems to be irked by it.

Besides, he asked Mawanda what capacity he has to summon him over the tweet. Gashumba informed the MP that it should be the IGP or CDF to summon him.

Therefore, he won’t be attending the call because its already biased. It was here that he pointed out the Minister who stole rice and meat and has gone unapprehended.

“Since you are busy summoning me, when are you summoning your friend (a Minister) who embarrassed PLU mobilizers when he stole rice and meat at an event when General Muhoozi Kainerugaba visited Masaka? How can a so-called “Hon Minister” (a person of such titles) turn himself into a mere petty thief of rice and meat meant for feeding peasants at a public gathering? Prayers alone cannot save this country.”
