Political analyst, social commentator, and businessman Frank Gashumba has come out to speak about the cause of death of the late Tamale Mirundi. It should be noted that the latter passed away from a lung infection on Tuesday night at Kisubi Hospital.
A lot of people in the nation such as Speaker of Parliament, Hon Anita Among, CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Bobi Wine among others have come out to pay tribute to him.
More people are still coming out to pay their respects and condolences to the family. However, according to Gashumba, it wasn’t the lung infections that led to the death of the controversial Mirundi.
It was rather depression and too many thoughts.
Gashumba said that ever since Mirundi was fired from State House like a ‘dog’, he’s never been the same. He lost the direction and touch of his life.
Besides, the life he was living financially was a desperate one. On top of that, Gashumba blasted the government for failing to help him when he was still alive but attempted to do so when it was already late. He, therefore, urged people to learn to celebrate when they are still alive.
Read his statement below;
“I got to know Tamale Mirundi about 24 years ago and we have been close. However, depression and thoughts are what led to his death. Ever since he was fired from State House like a dog, he has never been the same. On several occasions, I have met him with his car not even having fuel. His salary was just peanuts yet his peers that he was better than were earning much more. This government is also a joke. They tried to treat him when it was already late. Why couldn’t they do the same when he was still alive?” he said.
