The media icon hosted his last bulleting last evening where he revealed to his followers that he will not be in their screens anymore.
Frank was surprised by his co-workers who came running in the studio with cake as they officially said their goodbyes to him.
The news of Frank’s departure came as a surprise to many because there was no rumor of this anywhere.
Frank is apparently not going to any other media house but on to a whole new job not mentioned yet. It was all frowns and tears as colleagues said good bye to a mentor, friend and leader.
A numbers of people also celebrated Frank saying he has been one of the best media personnel in the industry.
“Frank Walusimbi’s retirement is a call to students and graduates of journalism and communication whom he has inspired to emulate his professionalism. — To uphold the legacy of one of the most incredible news presenters on national Television. Good luck, Frank, on your next journey,” Makerere University chancellor, Barnabas Nawangwe tweeted.
“Irreplaceable.
I don’t know why we do not have an anchor in the 60s and 70s. I shall try to get there myself. Good luck Frank. We should never be losing your special kind very early in your career. The media should be bothered why it can’t keep Frank in. I am bothered,” Samson Kasumba wrote.
It has surely been a minute but every journey has an end and Frank Walusimbi, has stood the test of time.
