These were Nassali Milly, 35, Nakkazzi Florence, 36, Sarah Namwanje, 23, Nalwoga Oliver Hildah, 25, and Sharifah Nakabuubi, 25 all from Uganda. The women visited India on tourist visas but when their visas expired they remained in India.
Nassali who moved to Hyderabad turned to sex work after financial constraints alongside Nakazzi. After their business turning out to be lucrative, they invited the rest of the other three women.
The five women then started advertising their business on a website dubbed Locanto.
They would upload their pics on the website and attach a number on which the potential customers could call.
The AHTU team in conjunction with Chaitanyapuri police station called on the listed phone number. This was in a plot to trap these women.
Nassali then responded to the message and spoke about the availability of three Ugandan women alongside their prices. She then unaware of the trap sent their location. In a joint operation, the AHTU team and the cops reached the spot and nabbed the five women.
