Local radio station 100.2 Galaxy FM staged its Galaxy FM Zzina Awards for the 9th edition and a number of musicians walked away with many accolades to their names.

The event took place at Thobani Centre in Kampala and a number of artists graced the occasion.

Pallaso and Azawi were some of the biggest winners of the night. Additionally, the duo has arguably had the best individual past years of their careers.

They have also been the biggest winners of local awards in the recent past and it’s no wonder that they scooped the major honors in the Zzina Awards.

Big Talent boss Eddy Kenzo was also a proud winner of a number of accolades too.

Zex Bilangilangi- Best Dancehall Artist

Best Thing – Dre Cali- Best Contemporary Urban Song

Liam Voice- Best Contemporary Urban Artist-

Eddy Kenzo – Best Afro Beat Song-Weekend

Azawi – Best Song Writer

Maulana & Reign; Best Comedian

Nessim – Best Producer

Sango – Martha Mukisa & Eddy Kenzo – Best Collaboration-

Azawi – Best Female Artist

Pallaso – Best Male Artist

Liam Voice – Breakthrough Artist

Eddy Kenzo – Song Of The Year-Weekend

Pallaso – Artist Of The Year

These awards, however, seemed to have left out all the veteran artists. None of them appeared anywhere close to winning even just one award.
