Nigeria’s Actress Funke Akindele Sentenced To 14-day Isolation, Community Service

The Magistrate court in Lagos has sentenced the renown Nigerian actress Funke Akindele Bello Aka Jenifa and her husband Abdul Rasheed Bello popularly known as JJC Skillz to 14-day isolation and community service for holding a birthday party on Saturday for her husband in their home at Amen estate which is against the Lagos State lock-down order.

The Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos, summoned the couple on Monday at the Samuel Ilori Courthouse. Funke Akindele and her hubby had before pleaded guilty and they have been ordered to pay a fine of N100,000.

The charge against them is made accordance with the Regulation 8(1a &b) and S 17(1) of the State’s Infectious Disease Regulation 2020. Many different celebrities think they are very special and can do whatever they feel like on their own will.

This has caused many problems to them especially those who had already organised events and not yet fulfilled. The Nigerian Government also recently passed out an order that no events, like birth days parties, concerts or any gathering related activities in order to fight the COVID19 epidermic.
