Muhoozi said that anyone who dares to will know that they are not only attacking Egypt but Uganda at the same time too.
The Lt Gen then gave a brief history of why a threat to Egypt is a threaten to the East African country.
Muhoozi said that his late grandfather told him that the first Banyankore to come to Uganda were from Egypt.
Even himself when he was in the North African country for a military course, Muhoozi said that they treated him nicely.
“My late grandfather Mzee Amos used to tell us that the first Banyankore came from Egypt. When I was there for a course (for 6 months) I never had a problem with any Egyptian. If anybody thinks of fighting Egypt, he should know he will be fighting Uganda as well,” Muhoozi tweeted.
Muhoozi has in the past few days come out to express has enormous ‘African nationalism’. This is through a series of militaristic warnings.
He recently said that the UPDF could deal with the couple leaders in Guinea Conakry if President gave an order to the army.
Uganda and Egypt on the hand have shared deep historical connections. This is especially owing to their ties through the River Nile waters.
However the two countries have also clashed on these waters over who has authority which prompted to a number of agreements.
Lt Gen Muhoozi’s agreement prompted a number of replies from his followers with some supporting his claim while others rubbishing it.
“What happens when a disagreement on sharing Nile Waters escalates. The Morsi government threatened Force when dealing with Ethiopia. I wonder after Ethiopia where will the force be projected,” one followers tweeted.
“Dude, what’s with you and fighting…………. Is that literallythe only thing you can do??????” Another wondered about the general’s recent tweets.
“Don’t confuse banyankore with Ugandans, we ain’t fighting for your tribal pride.”
“But you man, everything you think of fighting fighting….. There’s better to life and service than fighting! Much better actually.”
