They named the singer among the top MPs who have shined the most on the floor of Parliament in 100 days.
They named him among fellow entertainers such as Dr Hilderman and music manager Kayemba Solo. Lutaaya said that he loves being underrated after they asked him about what motivates him.
They further asked him whether going to Parliament with the tag that “musicians won’t do anything” is what motivates him.
The “Oli Miss” singer said that it was always a dream of his to go to parliament and represent his people and not just to enjoy the luxuries there.
“I always love being taken as the underdog in the ring because it motivates me a lot. I have the interests of my constituency at heart. That is why I’m able to perform in Parliament.” The singer said.
He also talked about his music career that had somehow stalled back even before he joined politics.
“I had taken 4-5 years without releasing a song. Even at the beginning of my career, I never rushed to release music. Besides, the music industry is nolonger as lucrative as it was, so, you have to do other things. It’s not like I’m doing gospel music only, I still do the secular too but I had to thank God for the victories.” Lutaaya said.
He also talked about the Masaka killings which have claimed a number of people. He said they engaged the Internal Affairs minister, Gen Kahinda Otafiire and the security agencies in Masaka.
Lutaaya said that he was glad they are now somewhere on curbing the level of insecurity in the area.
