Georgia The 8-Year-Old Dog Walks 35 Miles In 9 Days To Make It’s Way Home

Kris Anderson of Carlsbad, California the owner of Georgia was slogging with her daughter Lucas Sarah & her other dog in the Los penasquitos Canyon preserve on June 27 when Georgia eyed a rabbit and chased after it disappearing into the Canyon.

Search was done through the Canyon by the family and the help of the park rangers for hours but later there were forced to leave without the dog, San Diego Union Tribune reports but the family never gave up on finding Georgia, making several trips to the park, a 75 mile round trip, Unluckily, their searching efforts were un victorious.

On July 6, Kris recognized a similar bellow of her dog, Georgia while she lay in her bed.

Her dog, exhausted & really hungry came into her room and jumped on her bed after walking the harsh 35 miles which would be every dog’s worst nightmare. “I couldn’t believe this,” Kris said. “I was thinking ‘What?’ ‘How could this be’ ‘Am I dreaming’ Is this really happening?”

Luis Lizarraga the veterinarian who attended to Georgia a few hours after she reached home said that the dog was in a better shape considering the journey she had undergone.

Luis said that he had never witnessed such thing in his whole life until he saw Georgia, although he heard of dogs doing things like that. “Kris is among the lucky ones,” he said.
