The group was one of the headlining performers and it’s fair to say that they put up a memorable performance. All of these kids were so excited to meet some of the biggest names in the world of football.
A member of the dancers couldn’t hide his excitement upon meeting football greats such as Lionel Messi, Neymar Junior and Marcus Rashford. Another said that meeting his idol, Messi is the greatest achievement in his life so far.
There was also amazement by one of the female dancers about the nature of Qatar. She said that the country is so clean and the roads are so breathtaking. She wondered how it’s done there that is so different from here.
Their manager, Dauda Kavuma, said that they were the only dancing group that performed at the main event. Other entertainers such as Kizz Daniel were at the ordinary show.
“It was a great experience and one of the best ever. We performed for people such as the FIFA president, Presidents of countries such as Rwanda, Senegal among others. We were the only dance group that performed at the VVIP section,” said Dauda Kavuma.
On how they scooped this role, Kavuma said that they recorded a clip about the World Cup. The next thing they knew was the Qatari tourism ministry sending them an email.
Kavuma also revealed that what sets them apart from the many dance groups out there is their creativity. They perform dances that are comical and stress-relieving.
The group also had another viral video dancing with ex-Manchester City and Argentine striker, Sergio Aguero.
