Upcoming singer Gloria Busingye aka Gloria Bugie has claimed she was pursuing law before dropping it to pursue a music career. The singer has been making waves in the music industry for the past couple of months. This has been for mostly the wrong reasons.
In a one-on-one interview with Galaxy FM’s Mr. Henrie, she fully opened up about her life and career aspirations. She said that she used to do law, but she decided it was not for her.
Pressed to reveal which academic institution she was in, she declined to say it, claiming that it was not in Uganda.
“I was pursuing law before I decided to do music. However, around 2020 I decided to drop it and pursue music which I felt was my calling. The University I was studying in is not in Uganda.”
And of course, she commented on the biggest career highlight she has received so far in her music journey-the leakage of her videos. Gloria Bugie said that the person who dropped them had been blackmailing her for close to a year.
He wanted a ransom of 100M shillings. She informed her family as soon as this started and they were well prepared for what was to come.
They paid this person about 20-30m but he did not cease and eventually dropped them. She said that she even filed a Police case in Buziga before the whole saga.
Meanwhile, the Nyash singer said that she felt abandoned by her fellow musicians in this trying moment. None of them called or cared to find out about what she was going through.
It was only Martha Kay who sent her a message on Instagram since she was also in the same situation at one point.
