Halima Namakula, a veteran musician has promised to arrest and detain a certain upcoming artiste. The artiste who has only been identified as Trevor, apparently redid Halima’s song without seeking her consent.
She sent out a serious warning to the artist telling him that it is wrong to redo someone’s song without their confirmation. The song redone by the rising artist is the famous “Ekimbewo” oldie hit.
Trevor had previously sent Halima a sample of the remake of her ‘Ekimbewo’ song. However, in an audio, the upset veteran singer is heard asking him to delete the song from all music streaming platforms.
She further asked him to do one simple thing which will avoid her losing her cool by leaving her music alone. She said she has no interest whatsoever in anyone redoing her music.
This comes at a time when a number of artists are taking the trend of redoing veteran musicians’ songs.
Halima, enraged, further warned Trevor against playing this redone song on any radio station or media outlet. She said in this case she will definitely hunt him down and sue him.
She recalled a time when the UgaTunes App team desired to purchase the catalog of her music but she declined.
Halima told Trevor to try redoing Jose Chameleone, Sheebah, or Bebe Cool’s music without their consent if he wants to taste musician’s wrath. This meant that she let him off easy as a warning.
