Hon. Betty Nambooze Scoffs At President Museveni’s Presidential Advisers

Hon Betty Nambooze has scoffed at President Museveni’s presidential advisers. She said they are the only advisers she has seen wait for their boss at events to request him to call them to advise him.

During the concluded 2021 general elections, as a strategy, President Museveni got different people and appointed them as his advisers.

It was one way of looking for votes and among those he appointed is singer Catherine Kusasira and self-proclaimed ghetto president Buchaman and Jennifer Full Figure.

Surprisingly though, these people took their appointment jobs seriously yet they don’t even get to meet President Museveni himself to advise him.

Last month, there is a video that made rounds on social media of Catherine Kusasira at a certain event begging President Museveni to meet her.

She said as a presidential advisor, she has been trying so much to get to him. However, people near him have blocked her. Yet in an actual sense, a presidential advisor should have access to the president all the time.

Now opposition member of Parliament Hon Betty Nambooze is wondering why President Museveni got presidential advisers.

She said it doesn’t make sense to see them begging to meet him. He should, therefore, denounce them as the presidential advisors and everything will be fine knowing they don’t exist.

“President Museveni is the only person with presidential advisers who wait for him at events, asking him to call them for advice. It is very strange to me,” Hon Betty Nambooze said.
