On Tuesday, during the plenary session, Ssemujju said he is concerned about the President because he didn’t see him take a bus to the Queen’s funeral.
“I saw African presidents on a bus attending the Queen’s funeral, President Museveni was missing. He also missed his daughter’s giveaway. I want to know if he’s okay, given his advanced age. You know you people removed the age limit so we have to keep checking on him,” Ssemujju said.
Tayebwa responded saying he is going to make an appointment for Ssemujju with the president because he is missing him probably.
“For the first time, since I’ve known Hon Ssemujju, he is missing President Museveni. I think honourable colleagues, what I’m going to do, is make an appointment for Hon Ssemujju Nganda with the President,” Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa.
However, members of the public were disappointed that this can even be a point of discussion on the Parliament floor.
“Comedy on the floor, week in and week out! Last week it was nyege nudge, today whereabouts of someone. Heh @Parliament_Ug shame on you as an institution. Did you know that 19,700 people die daily in the kja region and 4 die in 4 seconds each? Make parliament great plz,” a one Erimia Milton said.
