Earlier on, UMA had agreed to the analog form of voting but without any clear reason, the board decided to go digital. Obviously, it is not a bad idea but the way it has come in is very suspicious for those who care.
Surprisingly, many artists are not bothered about this, they are silent. It’s only Ykee Benda, former UMA president, who came out to question why the voting should be digital.
In such a fast growing environment, probably voting digital should not be an issue, but the intentions are fishy for many people. This has made embracing it really tricky.
Kasuku, who already openly sided with King Saha in the UMA presidential race insists that, those organising the elections are only planning to rig the vote.
He says those in UMA have surveyed through and confirmed that there is no way they can win the vote. This is because they did nothing during their reign of two years. Digital Voting is apparently, the only way they can forge through.
The radio Presenter, Kasuku, has also expressed his disappointment in the artists. He says he doesn’t understand why they are all silent about the move to go digital and yet it spells danger for now.
Meanwhile, all eyes are mostly on the presidential seat of which the race is mainly between Cindy and King Saha. Who is the next UMA president?
