How The Use of Shorthand And Informal Language Will affect You

Lately, many people are using shorthand and informal language to communicate. Slowly this form of writing and speaking is affecting communication.

It is so hard for someone to sustain a sentence without chipping in slang. It may look okay and cool but it is actually very unethical.

For those who work in corporate companies, formal language is key. However, due to much clinging to informal language, some find it really hard to work in such places.

Imagine, on a social media platform of a full organization, someone has the nerve to use shorthand. It exhibits a high level of laziness. There is no way you’re going to attract a corporate person with this kind of language.

Some people are totally turned off at the sight of shorthand. However capable you may be, these things are so important for you to note as a person.

Some people have lost job opportunities just because they started their sentence with “Hw z u”, instead of “How are you doing?” How long would it take you to type that sentence?

A second, right? Due to laziness though, you choose the other way and you lose your life-changing job. No one can take you serious with that kind of language. Everyone just sees you as a joke.

Unfortunately, this is how we are bringing up the young generation. The worst bit of it is they now think using formal language is just for the old people.

No wonder the English language gives them trouble during their examinations. However, this can be corrected. Make formal language enjoyable, let it be cool too.

Change your circles if you must for your own good. You know you slowly become more like the people you are always with.
