I’m An African Comedy Giant – Patrick Salvador Brands Himself

Ugandan comedian, Patrick Idringi Salvador, has branded himself an African comedy Giant on social media. In Uganda, there are so many comedians but most of them do their content in Luganda.

For Salvador, his comedy is always done in English and that has expanded his fan base.

The comedian is always moving outside Uganda to do international comedy shows leaving fellow Ugandan comedians like Mariachi, MC Kapale to perform in Uganda where their language is heard.

Only this year, Patrick Salvador had more than 10 shows outside Uganda like in South Africa, Nigeria and other countries. As the year 2022 is ending, he has taken it to social media to credit himself for being a comedy Giant.

“I Am An African Comedy Giant,” he said

During the Covid-19 pandemic, he was working on a certain radio station but because of too many performances especially outside Uganda, he couldn’t keep up with the job.

He immediately resigned saying his focus is now on his talent. And it has yielded for him because he is now “the comedy Giant”.

Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi once revealed that Mariachi is the best comedian. He would like to take him to Kenya but because of language, it will not work out for him.

Other good comedians that we have in Uganda are Amooti Omubalanguzi, Madrat and Chiko, Maulana and Reign. However, Salvador more successful them.
