Celebrities have suffered more from bullies because fans tend to say anything to them anytime they post.
For Jackie Chandiru, she has been through a lot as a person but mostly she has suffered with drug addiction. Before she went on the recovery road, she was taken to Nairobi for some years.
Throughout all those years, she was silent on social media. In fact people didn’t know where she was and what she was doing.
When she returned to Uganda, Jackie Chandiru opened up about her story of drug addiction and how long it took her to recover. She even talked about her future plans and how she is going to be releasing new music.
In a recent interview, the singer said it hasn’t been easy for her to come back to the music scene. She said ever since she opened up about her struggles, she has faced backlash and abusive words from different fans.
These are especially those from other artists. Chandiru said most comments are about how she is back to take down fellow artists something that is mean and false.
“I am one of the most bullied people by fans of other artists. Ever since I came out of drug addiction and started doing music, some people haven’t been happy with me. I don’t know what fans really want but most of them have been so mean to me,” she said.
