I Can Gladly Sacrifice My Position For Gen Muhoozi’s Presidential Bid – MP Daudi Kabanda

The Kasambya county MP, Hon Daudi Kabanda has revealed that he can gladly sacrifice his parliamentary seat in Kasambya to support Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s presidential bid.

He also said Hon Betty Nambooze and Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu who all belong to NUP, don’t know what their objectives are.

According to the MP, Nyanzi is confident that Bobi Wine will run for the presidency in 2026. However, Nambooze doesn’t know and nor does she want to speak about the issue.

The most confusing part is that NUP has never held a delegates’ conference to endorse Hon Kyagulanyi Ssentamu. However, the party loyalists have the nerve to blame NRM for already endorsing Museveni.

Additionally, Hon Daudi Kabanda said that some people are simply in opposition to secure their political positions. They aren’t however ready to make sacrifices for the causes they believe in.

“Even within the Opposition, there seems to be confusion about their objectives. When questioned about the 2026 elections, many of them lack clear answers.”

“Some people are in political parties to secure positions. If Muhoozi requested me to withdraw from the Kasambya election to safeguard his vote, I would comply. Can Nambooze do the same to protect Kyagulanyi’s vote in Mukono?” submitted Kabanda.

Furthermore, the MP said that all the National Unity Platform is doing is trying to sideline the experienced MPs such as the likes of Hon Mathias Mpuuga, Hon Medard Lubega Ssegona. These then will be replaced with people the party can easily control according to the MP.
