I Can’t Allow My Kids To Speak Local Languages – Weasel’s Baby Mama Sandra Teta Says

Sandra Teta the baby mama and fiancee of singer Weasel Manizo has revealed that she can’t allow her kids to speak local languages in their home. In an interview, she said that it really nags and kills her seeing a very little kid speaking Luganda.

This is especially knowing all the Proverbs. Therefore, she can’t allow it and each one of them speaks English.

Apparently, Sandra is of Rwandese decent but said that this is also barred from being learnt by the kids. It’s strictly English. The other languages, they will learn slowly as they grow up.

She went ahead to say that she’s not bothered by this rule especially in case of times of emergency for the kids. According to her, most Ugandans understand a little bit of English. So even if the kids got an emergency, they can’t be lost.

Sandra said that even for her case, they grew up speaking the Queen’s language. And that’s how it should be for her offsprings. The Luganda and Kinyarwanda she knows were learnt later on in life.

Read her statement below;

“My kids at home only speak English. They aren’t allowed to speak any other language apart from that. I can’t fathom my kid speaking fluent Luganda with all those proverbs and so. It just makes them look so old. For my case, we grew up speaking English in my home. I believe the Kinyarwanda and Luganda will be learnt on the way as they grow up,” she said.

Additionally, she said that she was born in Uganda and later relocated to Rwanda. In her home, they speak Luganda and that’s how she got to learn some of the bits that she knows.

When she started dating Weasel, they would backbite her in Luganda thinking that she doesn’t know it. It wasn’t until one time when she shocked her baby daddy and told him in the language that he was using to backbite her that she understands it.

Social media users as usual weren’t impressed with her remarks. Some pointed out that even her English isn’t that good to force her kids into doing the same.
