She further added that it’s time to start releasing music too because the past two years have pegged her backward.
Vinka also revealed the success to her chart-topping song ‘Thank God’. This was picked as the most played song on radio and TV despite being released in September.
“I’m really excited that soon we are going to be interacting with fans once again. It’s been a long time and I can’t wait to sing as they sing back to me. That’s an eternal feeling for every performer. I will also be heading back to studio to release some good music. So, my fans should wait with great anticipation. Although 2021 wasn’t as great, I’m lucky I had a chart-topping song in Thank God, gave birth to my baby and my family is firm,” Vinka said.
The Swangz Avenue singer was one of the top performers before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vinka made these comments after her performance at the Pearl of Africa New Year Celebrations on NBS TV.
Another singer who relayed his feelings to 2021 was Grenade Official. The Nkuloga crooner said that despite releasing a number of songs that did fairly well, the economic situation wasn’t as pleasing as before. He however also cited his joy in the entertainment centers being re-opened.
