Former gospel singer Maggie Kayima alais Nabbi Omukazi has revealed her relationship with the late Pastor Augustine Yiga Abizzayo. She said it was not for his HIV-positive status that she left him but because of his jealousy and insecurity.
It should be noted that Nabbi Omukazi rose to the scene in the early 2010’s masquerading as a female prophetess under Yiga’s church.
The two were however later linked to each other romantically although the details were scanty. In an interview on YouTube with former Sanyuka TV presenter, Kaiyz, she acknowledged that their relationship was sexual and intimate.
At the time she did not know his HIV status and neither did he know hers.
How the HIV status got revealed;
In 2012, he traveled to South Africa where he was downed by a bout of sickness. He later called her and informed her that he was being put on ARVs.
That’s when it dawned on her that he was HIV positive. They went together to Mengo hospital for a blood test and it came out confirming that the Pastor was indeed sick while the singer wasn’t.
They did not believe the results and were referred to Joint clinic where the results remained the same. This however did not deter the singer from continuing her relationship with him. She did not even bother to take any means to prevent herself from contracting the disease.
She loved him and HIV wasn’t going to change that. However, what killed their relationship was the Revival Church proprietor’s jealousy and insecurity.
He would do anything to make sure that Nabbi Omukazi wasn’t talking to anyone. This is even if it meant deploying the military to spy on or guard her. Eventually, she got tired of this and ended the relationship.
