Big Talent boss Eddy Kenzo has revealed that awards and other recognitions are not his main goal while making music. The Sitya Loss singer says that he cares more about sending positivity to the public.

He likes it if his music inspires and makes people who are down happy. The awards and other recognitions are just surplus although he’s glad for getting recognized.

All these follows the singer’s nomination in the Caribbean Awards for the Afrobeats entertainer of the year.

“My main focus is usually on making people happy and uplifting them. I want to inspire and make people feel happy. That’s why you hear my sound and and see my videos full of happy elements. The awards and other recognitions are secondary,” said Eddy Kenzo.

According to the successful singer, he’s being nominated for the third time in these awards. He’s won the award once but that one time he wasn’t present.

Although he was happy, he didn’t get the award because he didn’t know anyone in Miami where the awards were that could receive the award for him.

Kenzo also hit out at those who say that his international award nominations are undeserved.

The BET Award winner said that he has viral music which has amassed millions of views. It therefore doesn’t make sense when he’s accused of being undeserving for these awards.
