It should be noted that news surfaced a couple of weeks ago that her firstborn daughter died in labor. The Abatesi singer confirmed this and said that she gave birth to her when she was just 14 years old.
Nalubega who was teary said that there was nothing she could do about it and that’s how God decided it to be. Life has to move on for her but it’s tough losing a child.
Additionally, the singer said that the baby is fine and is with her family. She went ahead to thank all the musicians who visited and comforted her in this trying moment. Further, she said that they did not support her just emotionally and physically but also financially.
“Thinking about my daughter and her death almost freshens up the wounds. I feel like crying because the pain of losing a child is immense. I don’t know what to do but that was God’s decision so life has to move on. The baby survived and is with its family as it’s only my daughter that died. Musicians came through and supported me in different ways. I’m forever grateful to them,” she said.
Apparently, although cases of maternal death have gone down over the years, there are still several cases of mothers dying in labor. It’s so unfortunate for the veteran singer and hopefully, she finds strength.
