Ugandan social media space has been missing MP Muhammad Ssegirinya because of his comedic nature. The MP has now revealed that he had plans of spraying his constituency with perfume daily.

Appearing in Kasuku’s media program, the MP said that his imprisonment was a major blow. This is because the people of Kawempe would have heard their own type of oxygen by now.

One would leave the smelly aura of the other parts of Kampala soon as they started to enter Kawempe. In fact, he had started the purchase of vehicles to do this job.

“My imprisonment was a major blow to the people of Kawempe. If I hadn’t been incarcerated, the people of Kawempe would be having their own type of oxygen. I planned to have my constituency sprayed with perfume daily. People would leave the other parts stinking and as soon as they start to enter my constituency, they then breathe in a fresh aura,” the funny MP said.

It should be noted that Ssegirinya and Makindye West MP Hon Allan Ssewanyana were arrested in 2021. They spent close to 18 months behind bars over the spate of killings that happened in the Greater Masaka sub-region in 2021.

Talking to the media during Eid celebrations, the MP said that conditions were unbearable at Kigo prison. Even during Ramadan, the prisoners always eat posho.

Besides, the posho is so bad that it can kill a chicken. And also the beans given to someone are so few. In fact, they can be counted on fingertips. It’s only when someone is known for his case that they can be given like 4 beans.

The MP revealed that for Eid, he had delivered rice and meat to prison. He wanted these prisoners to feel that it was indeed a different day.
