Kabuleeta says he is out to get power and he will get it. He said this while in on a breakfast show on NBS.
“I’m out to get power not MPs. I joined politics with one intention, to be the President. I am going to be the president of the country. I’ll have MPs in power, but my ultimate intention is to be President.”
Unlike other opposition members, Kabuleeta says he is looking beyond Museveni. He points out that he is out to fit in the system created by the current government but he is here to change things.
Kabuleeta says Museveni is the replacement of the colonialists Uganda got rid of in 1962.
“After we had gotten rid of that initial crop of people who led us to independence, we got Museveni, who thinks like them, but he didn’t lead us to independence. He led to a five-year bloody war and then nothing.”
“The colonialists were replaced by people who are like us, and now they are doing the same things to us. The same economic independence that was fought for, we are currently still fighting for where there is equity in the distribution of resources,” he added.
Kabuleeta recently unveiled his political party. This means he is so much still in the race for the presidency of Uganda one day.
