This is after comments that were clipped and made to look like he had spoken ill about NUP and Bobi Wine went public.
Based on his song Yamba, the singer said that they won’t accept to follow politicians who divide people. Right from there, NUP supporters felt offended and have subjected him to a rain of insults.
Appearing in a local TV interview, the singer said that he has been saying the same remarks for the past 10 years. Therefore, he doesn’t know why this comes at a time when all his Nalongo shows sold out.
Additionally, the Kapapala singer says that he knows the people behind this propaganda. Apparently, it’s not any politician but rather fellow people in the music industry.
Lutalo therefore told them that his strength is in the studio and that’s where he wants the battles to be fought.
“I’m surprised that these attacks come after my Nalongo concert at Lugogo and all the extras flooded with people. These excerpts are from my Yamba song which was done over 10 years ago. I have been saying the same things over and over again. Why hadn’t the dust yet been raised? I’m very sure there’s no politician behind these attacks and propaganda. They are people I well know in the music industry but I’m going to the studio to rip them apart,” said the Ujuwe singer.
However, David Lutalo is not the first artist whose words have been taken out of context. The likes of Eddy Kenzo, Alien Skin among others have all been slaughtered verbally online.
