I Only Speak English When I’m Drunk – Chiko

Comedian Chiko of the duo Madrat and Chiko has revealed that he only speaks English after getrting drunk. He made this statement over the weekend in an interview with one of the local televisions.

Chiko is always moving with Madrat as they are a duo but months ago Madrat decided to converted to Islam from Christianity.

As a religion, Islam has its own rules and regulations that people who believe in Allah have to follow. One of them is not drinking alcohol and even not eating pork.

Having been a christian, Madrat was doing all this and after converting, he stopped drinking and eating pork.

Nowadays he doesn’t even attend some events that involve things not allowed in Islam. Unless he is there to perform as a comedian, he stays at home.

However, for Chiko who is still a christian, he attends every event he feels like because nothing restricts him.

He said he no longer drinks like he used to drink after Madrat converted. That’s why people no longer hear him speaking English most of the times.

According to Chiko, the English he speaks is always fueled by alcohol. Therefore, when someone finds him sobber they should interview him in Luganda.

“I don’t like speaking English at the moment because I am sober. I usually speak English when I am drunk that’s it. Now that Madrat no longer drinks and doesn’t attend events that have drinks I am somehow bored,” Chiko said.
