Mubarak Munyagwa; FDC Has To Know They Are No Longer Leaders Of Opposition

I Would Rather Be Under Colonialism Than NRA Leadership – Mubarak Munyagwa

Former Kawempe South MP, Hon Mubarak Munyagwa has stated that he would rather be under the rule of colonialists than being under the NRM government.

While appearing on the NBS Eagle, Munyagwa stated that the current regime has dragged the country backwards than the British left it.

Munyagwa for instance pointed out that there has been a duplication of roles. Most of these are unnecessary and can be done by one office.

“I want to state that instead of being under NRA leadership, I would rather choose to be under colonisers. There has been a duplication of roles; here, colonizers left appropriate roles. You have LC5 and RDC; you have COA, DISO, and PISO; thats to say, there have been duplication roles.”

Munyagwa further criticized the NRA government for wasting taxpayers money on wars.

He pointed out the recent UPDF war against the ADF in DR Congo. This was dubbed Operation Shuja. However, according to Munyagwa, not even a gumboot of the ADF was brought back.

This only shows how useless the war is and how the NRM should invest in the key sectors.

Further Munyagwa pointed out some of the things that colonizers left when they were handing over instruments of power to Uganda. These included a railway which transported both the rich and the poor.

However, none of these is currently available. The ex MP also revealed that it was the first time he saw Kololo devoid of many crowds on an independence ceremony.

It should be noted that Uganda celebrated 60 years of independence yesterday. The main function took place at Kololo Independence Grounds.

It was presided over by President Museveni who had a number of notable guests especially heads of state from the neighboring East African countries.

The achievements and flaws of Uganda in these years of self autonomy can be debated from either angle one views them from.
