“If You Can’t Protect Us, Resign” – Frank Gashumba To His Boss Gen Muhoozi

Self-styled political analyst and businessman, Frank Gashumba has told his boss Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and other security bosses to resign if they have failed to protect Ugandans and their property.

There are several viral clips on social media of thugs robbing and assaulting Ugandans. Clips even show some of those thugs confessing how they have robbed and murdered different Ugandans.

Gashumba said that he and other Ugandans are wondering why these security officers are paid salaries if they can’t do their jobs. He also said that if these gangs have overpowered these security operatives, they don’t qualify to wear their uniforms.

Read his statement below;

“To all heads of security agencies; UPDF, Uganda Police, Internal Security Organization, Military Police, Chieftaincy of military intelligence, Special Forces Command and all sister agencies; If you cannot protect Ugandans with their properties, simply resign. Every day we see social media clips of Ugandans being assaulted, robbed and even murdered by gangs. On the streets of Kampala and several testimonial reports and recordings on different categories of young females, males, traumatized by the thuggery even in broad daylight.”

“We as Ugandans, are wondering why they pay you people salaries. You are paid to protect lives and properties. If these gangs have overpowered you, you don’t qualify to wear our uniforms,” said Gashumba.

Furthermore, he said that he recently saw a Police release advising people to avoid dark spots. This in short implies that these gangs have overpowered the Police.

Gashumba also wondered how security can fail to wipe out these gangs if the UPDF can pacify Somalia, S. Sudan and some parts of DR Congo.

It should be noted that several clips indeed have been seen on social media. These also show goons beating up people and robbing them sometimes in broad daylight.
