Iganga NRM leaders have recently called upon President Yoweri Museveni to fulfill the promises he made during the 2021 elections. The leaders through the NRM Chairperson for Iganga district Haji Walubi Abu Bakar expressed concerns regarding unfulfilled pledges and emphasized the importance of delivering on these commitments to ensure the continued development and progress of the region.
During the election campaign, President Museveni outlined various proposals aimed at addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of Iganga.
However, some of these promises have yet to be realized, prompting local NRM leaders to request immediate action.
The leaders highlighted the significance of fulfilling these pledges, emphasizing that their realization would contribute to the overall socio-economic welfare of the community.
They stressed that the completion of proposed infrastructure projects, provision of basic services, and implementation of developmental initiatives would greatly enhance the livelihoods of the residents.

They expressed confidence that the president would prioritize the fulfillment of his election promises, as he has consistently demonstrated commitment to the development and prosperity of Uganda.
In light of these discussions, the leaders resolved to engage in constructive dialogue with President Museveni and relevant government officials to ensure the timely execution of the pledges.
They expressed their willingness to collaborate with the government in order to achieve the desired outcomes, expressing optimism that their concerns would be addressed.
The leaders also urged the residents of Iganga to remain patient and continue supporting the government’s efforts towards fulfilling the promises made.
