Despite his parliamentary term running for 5 years, the MP said that he needed just 2 months to effect his manifesto.
It should be noted that Muhammad Ssegirinya spent half of his running term behind bars on charges of murder. However, he doesn’t regret joining politics as it’s what’s got him behind bars.
Speaking in a local TV interview, he said that the most discomforting thing in jail was the bedbugs and slaps. For the slaps they had become like food. This is because he would get them served to him morning, afternoon and evening.
“Out of all MPs, I stand out as the only one who has fulfilled my manifesto within an incredibly short timeframe. Despite being elected for a five-year term, I have successfully accomplished all of my goals and objectives within just two months.”
“I don’t regret joining politics. No matter how difficult jail life was, serving my people is the priority. The most discomforting situation was the bedbugs in prison and the slaps I received. Honestly speaking, I got slaps in the morning, afternoon and evening,” said Hon. Ssegirinya.
Furthermore, as the MP is known for his comic nature, he was at it again. He said that the ambulance he donated to his constituency had everything a patient needs.
He cited some of these as KFC. This means that a patient goes eating on their way to the hospital.
