NUP President Bobi Wine took to his Twitter page last evening to respond to allegations made by his diaspora Canadian lawyer Robert Amsterdam.
Amsterdam who has been a long-term ally of Kyagulanyi said that he is aware of a plot by the government to eliminate his client.
Apparently, Museveni’s regime is allegedly planning to use North Korean poison on Bobi Wine to block him from leaving Uganda. This lawyer added that given the ‘brutality of the regime’ these allegations can’t be taken lightly.
“We recently received a threat, allegedly claiming to come from within the Museveni regime. That ISO is planning to use a “North Korean” poison on @HEBobiwine and prevent him from leaving Uganda. Given their record of brutality, I can’t simply dismiss the threat as a hoax,” he said.
Kyagulanyi took it upon himself to address these allegations.
He said that as all dictators, President Museveni survives on intimidating and eliminating political opponents. This is done especially on those he has failed to compromise.
The 2021 presidential runner up however said that he’s not afraid. He’s ready to continue fighting the regime even if it means paying the ultimate price.
“Like all autocratic despots, @KagutaMuseveni survives by intimidating and eliminating his political opponents, especially those he has failed to compromise. But I am not scared. We shall never stop fighting the evil dictator, even if it means paying the ultimate price.”
His followers however reacted to these grave allegations with different opinions. Some of his followers sided with him and said they are ready to fight till their last breath.
However, the critics said that this is just propaganda as usual from the former MP’s camp.
