Despite being one of the veterans and pioneers of the modern Ugandan music industry, forever upcoming singer Angella Katatumba has come out to claim that she’s young enough to do whatever she wishes to do.

The singer said that she doesn’t have to live by public opinion or pressure. For those questioning her when she’s giving birth or getting married, she will do so when she wants to.

Katatumba said that she’s not in a race against time and that society should let people live their lives freely.

She further threw some light on her relationship status saying that she’s single. Katatumba said that she’s not like other usual girls who stick in unhappy relationships like they will be awarded medals. If she’s not happy, she quits it ASAP.

She also explained the qualities she wants in a man.

Katatumba, a divorcee, said that she’s willing to get married again. However, she doesn’t want a man who is going to come and dictate her life.

Someone should come when he’s ready to love her the way he’s found her. They can grow together from there and then.

“For those people questioning when I’m giving birth and getting married, please know that I’m very young to do whatever I want. Stop trying to force people to live your opinionated lifestyles.

I will give birth or get married when I want to. And for now, I’m still single although I’m open to getting married again. I can’t suffocate in a relationship like I’m going to be given a medal, in case I’m not happy, I quit it..” she said in her statement.
