Ragga Dee Speaks Out on Gen Saleh's Letter Chasing Artistes Out Of Gulu

Is Ragga Dee Looking For A Way Back On Stage?

Thirty years later, everyone thought veteran music icon Ragga Dee would probably throw in the towel. However, he has claimed that he has about 250 unreleased songs in his tank and is ready to thrill.

He might preferably stay out of the spotlight as an active singer, but Ragga Dee, real name Daniel Kazibwe is not through recording new music.

As one of the most respected and oldest Ragga singers in Uganda, he has spent most of the past few years in politics.

In 2020, he aspired for the Kampala Lord Mayorship but despite his fame, he failed to go through. Eventually, the ‘Letter O’ singer refocused all his interests and effort into the entertainment industry politics.

As the Chairman of the National Culture Forum, he has tried to make a few changes to help transform the music industry, an effort that still faces a lot of resistance from his fellow artists.

However, while he focuses on the industry’s politics, the singer has not fully given up on music. He recently revealed that he had been in and out of studios, working on several musical projects.

To be specific, the veteran singer reveals that he has over 250 unreleased tracks he had worked on over the past years.

While speaking to Galaxy FM, he boasted about being one of the local artistes with the biggest catalogue. He claimed that he has over 900 songs.

“I have ninety albums and each has ten songs,” Ragga Dee said.
