Singer Eddy Kenzo has opened up about why there were less people at his just concluded introduction ceremony with wife, Minister Hon Phiona Nyamutooro.
The singer said that it was a family thing and that’s why there were few people.
It should be noted that this ceremony came as a surprise and even the attendees were also a surprise. Being a celebrity, there were no fellow celebrities spotted but the singer said that it wasn’t necessary because it was a thing for those much closer to the families.
The singer added that this was a major function and those who weren’t in attendance will be called for the wedding.
He also talked about how he met the Minister. According to the Weekend singer, he has spent several years with the State Minister of Energy.
He met her when she was around 26 and he had no idea that she would even become a minister although she had worked in several government offices. Therefore, those who say that he’s an opportunist just don’t know what they are talking about.
Read what he had to say;
“That ceremony is the most important. It’s for those who matter to both spouses the most. Therefore, those who weren’t in attendance will come for the wedding. The wedding is just a celebration of the marriage that already took place.”
“I met Nyamutooro when she was around 26 years old and we just vibed together as we are of the same generation. When we started dating, I had no idea that she would even be a minister one day. So, those saying that’s why I dated her just don’t know what they are saying.”
Additionally, Kenzo said that his wife’s family is an educated one right from her grandfather. Therefore, the Lord elevated him into such a family despite being from the streets. He advised all the young people out there to get spouses that add value to them.
