Swangz Avenue singer Vinka has recounted an incident in which she got sexually harassed by a fan in South Sudan 2 years ago. According to her, this was a very traumatic experience.
She made headlines as she retaliated by kicking this fan violently.
The Bailamdo singer has been asked her opinion about her fellow label mate, Winnie Nwagi’s violent reactions towards male fans who touch her inappropriately.
Vinka said that every person reacts differently but she supports the Jangu singer. This is because some of these fans always take it a notch higher in harassing them.
“Every person reacts differently. I remember when a fan sexually assaulted me in South Sudan. You know there are fans you can tolerate with light touches. But this one aggressively touched me in my lady parts. I was so angry, and I kicked him right away, but it was so traumatic. I recall my husband comforting me telling me all is going to be okay. We all react differently but I do support Winnie in how she handles those who try to give her a hard time as she does her job,” said Vinka.
Another Swangz Avenue singer, Elijah Kitaka said that Nwagi is a person who has to be studied. And when this is done, you can live together harmoniously.
