According to Bobi Wine, it’s just a matter of time before ‘people power’ overwhelms Museveni just like the Sri Lankan president.
Bobi Wine said that the President of Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, didn’t anticipate any of the incidents that happened when he went to bed.
He didn’t think that his “presidential home” would be turned into a nuisance the way it is right now.
“When ousted Sri Lankan president Gotabaya Rajapaksa went to bed the other day, he did not imagine that these would be the scenes inside ‘his’ presidential home in the next few hours. From random citizens taking naps and selfies on the presidential bed. To children delivering mock addresses on the presidential podium. From youths playing matatu in the presidential lounge, to citizens taking a communal dip in the presidential pool. He just didn’t see it coming,” he wrote.
Further, he added that the Sri Lankan economy had collapsed under Gotabaya’s watch. He however probably thought that citizens would do nothing about it.
Yet in a few hours many of them were in his compound. And nobody, no threat, no risk, and no authority could stop them.
Right now he’s said to be hiding away in a floating boat somewhere in the sea. This is after citizens strippedhim off his illusionary presidential comforts.
Apparently, this might be the same coming for President Museveni according to Bobi Wine. The former Kyadondo East legislator added that Museveni probably thinks that what happened in Sri Lanka is a movie.
“Yet despite all this, there is a corrupt and senile dictator somewhere in East Africa who thinks what’s happened in Sri Lanka is just a movie. He too just doesn’t know what’s coming,” added Bobi Wine.
It’s not clear who is running the country of Sri Lanka right now. This is after both the President and Prime Minister went into hiding.
