Ivory Coast Wins African Cup Of Nations-2015

Ivory coast wins Africa Cup of Nations 2015, which is simply called the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Equatorial Guinea 2015 as sponsorship reasons, it was the 30th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the international football championship of Africa. This tournament was organized by the Confederation of African Football ( CAF ) it begun on 17th Jan to 8th Feb this year 2015.

The CAF tournament was supposed to be hosted by Morocco in northern African, who later changed their minds and demanded the event to be postponed because of the Ebola virus in west Africa, CAF gave them enough time to think about it and they were given a deadline but still they failed to comply with CAF’s decision, eventually, Morocco was ruled out as a host country and replaced by Equatoria Guinea.

Ivory coast won the tournament

cup of nations1After a a very hard struggle with Ghana, Ivory coast won the tournament as their second Africa Cup of Nations title, defeating Ghana 9–8 in a penalty shoot out after the final of 90 minutes ended with no goal scored on either sides, after wards they went to extra time with tired legs but nothing changed, when they begun penalty shooting, ha ha this is normally the hardest point and very challenging for any soccer player, 2 Ivorian players missed scoring in the net while Ghana was leading by 2 goals to nil, but all over a sudden, ivory coast came up in a magic way and defeated Ghana.

DR Congo were in the third position and the hosts ( Equatoria Guinea ) fourth position, It was very embarrassing that the defending champions Nigeria failed to qualify, according to Independent.
