Former FDC Treasurer Jack Sabiiti Blames ALL FDC’s Troubles On Dr. Kiiza Besigye

Former treasurer of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Jack Sabiiti has blamed all the party’s struggles on Dr. Col. Kiiza Besigye. Appearing in an interview on a local TV station, Sabiiti said the party’s current crisis all came to happen because of the party’s founder.

The former Rukiga MP said that what Besigye and others are doing is selfish. He wondered why they would want to dissolve the party they deserted.

He also pointed out that some key figures such as Mugisha Muntu and Beti Kamya left the party because of him. Sabiiti also pointed out that if Besigye wanted to reclaim the party’s leadership, he would have announced it to the party.

Then they would proceed to discuss it internally. On top of that, the party has some big names that fled and they would have been glad to welcome them back.

Read his statement below;

“You left a party, and now you want to dissolve it and start a new party. Isn’t that a bit selfish? The people who left the party in the past did so because they had problems with the same person who is now trying to come back and cause confusion in the party. Betty Kamya and Mugisha Muntu left because of Besigye.”

“We had strong individuals, but if they wanted to return, they should have come back, not necessarily to the same positions. If Dr. Kizza Besigye came and said he wanted to be the chairman of the party, we would discuss it,” said Sabiiti.

He also reiterated that the party has one headquarters and those are the ones based in Najjanankumbi. Besides, no one has the mandate to dissolve the FDC as the Katonga faction claims they are going to do.
