For a number of years, he’s been in and out of rehab but with no positive results. This was all brought about by heavy drug use. All attempts to help him have turned out futile.
However, according to Jackie, the Ngoma Nene singer needs someone who understands him. They can sit down and converse extensively about what is really troubling him.
She added that people should stop calling him a demented person (Eyavaako). This is because even in his state, he still has a little self-awareness in him. And calling him such names definitely hurts him.
It should be noted that the Agassi singer was also in such a situation. She almost lost her life due to drug abuse. For Jackie Chandiru to regain her real self, it was a very big struggle.
But finally, she got back to her feet and is now an advocate against drug abuse. She was at Parliament this week where she met the Speaker, Hon Anita Among and the two talked about drugs.
“I am of the belief that Rocky Giant requires support and someone who can comprehend him more deeply. And I am convinced that there are underlying reasons behind his drug use.”
“I visited the Speaker of Parliament to engage in discussions regarding drug use and to share my personal experiences related to the challenges I faced due to being a drug addict,” she said.
Drug abuse is one of the biggest problems hindering celebrities in the country. Quite a number of them have succumbed to the vice.
