“This is just a small token added to the works of our fore-fathers who started this” Mr Jacob Oulanyah said.
“Everytime I travel I see awesome churches without followers anymore and now I’m happy to do this for a church that’s still standing firm.” He added.
This checque was donated by the deputy speaker himself on Wednesday 7th November 2018 to a group of representatives from the All saints cathedral to parliament adding he’s really humbled to make such a contribution to the work of God and “this surely won’t be my last contribution I will keep supporting the church to the best of my ability”
Leader of the All saints cathedral delegation that went to parliament, Reverend Hilary Jaffu, told parliament that the project which is currently at the roofing stage will take a three-year course to be completed and the cathedral is expected to be able to house 5,000 people.
“We’re really thankful for the speakers contribution and we pray that God blesses you abundantly.” Rev. Jaffu said.
Plans for the current expansion of the cathedral which is located on Nakasero hill were set in motion in 2004 during the leadership of then archbishop Livingstone Nkoyoyo when he managed to acquire plots for the church.
