Juliana Kanyomozi Drops Wedding-style Song In 5 Years

Sensational singer, Juliana Kanyomozi, has dropped her first song after a four to five-year break. The 42-year-old singer in the song, titled “Omwana”, talks about marriage and the qualities of a good husband while taking a swipe at traditional norms like bride price.

Its video is packed with events from a traditional marriage ceremony.

In her typical piercing voice, she sings:

“I’m asking, how is the baby? I chose well, how do you see my lover? Now know that you’ve made me international… that you’ll never embarrass me… I tattoed you on my neck… I’m saying bye.”

Juliana continues: “You will now be a child of this family… they shouldn’t bargain because there is no selling… mum, this is my person… You laid a foundation and showed that you don’t lie.”

However, the above is the English translation of the song which was done predominantly in Luganda.

Swangz Avenue’s Marvin Musoke is behind the visuals of this song. It has already garnered about 5 thousand views in just over an hour on YouTube. Nessim is behind the production.

This song will definitely appeal to people organizing weddings, introduction ceremonies, and anything in that line. This is because it gives the same vibes as Rema Namakula‘s “Ngonze” which was also produced by Nessim.

Juliana Kanyomozi made an excellent comeback in the music industry last year with a well-attended concert held at Kampala Serena Hotel on August 19.

Despite having one of the most highly-regarded music catalogs in Uganda, she hadn’t held a concert in eight years.
