It’s not the first time a boy or man is pushing for the use of pads especially on Twitter. However, Eyoku says this shouldn’t be a cause for debate.
“The fact that I am a boy and I’m pushing for sanitary pads shouldn’t be a debate !!!”
Most people have been giving their reasons on why this is good or bad. First of all, on the character selection, Brennan Ekoyu is not bad at all.
He is popular on Tik Tok for his emulation of a girl character. He appears as a girl in all his videos on Tik Tok and most of his fans are actually female. One can not blame a pad brand for choosing to take him on as their ambassador.
“Wamma go on!!do these people mean that if you are a boy, u can’t open up a sanitary pad making factory?? Simply coz you don’t pass thru the same process??,” a one Andrew Lutaaya said.
“u don’t need to use a product to Market it.. Menstrual hygiene is a concern to us all be in Man or Woman.. Let the young man shine,” a one Segawa Nelson.
Meanwhile, perhaps it’s about time, men learned how pads work. Otherwise, how will single fathers bring up their daughters without knowledge on some of these important stages in life.
They may not use the pads, but knowing how they work is just most basic thing they may need to know.
