Justine Bieber Goes Country Featuring Dan + Shay At The 2020 CMA Awards

The 2020 CMA Awards was a big night for Justine Bieber as he took to the stage for a very special song. In a world premiere television performance, he teamed up with Dan + Shay to sing their hit song ‘’10,000 Hours’’ in a country genre.

The song is one of the biggest tracks of the year as pop culture fans know it. As a matter of fact, ‘’10,000 Hours’’ was nominated for both Single of the Year, Music Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year.

With this success, Shay Mooney admitted to feeling both nervous and excited before the performance.

What Dan + Shay had to say

‘’We haven’t really gotten to have that moment of celebration with ’10,000 Hours’. We just had like the year anniversary of the song. So it’s kind of crazy that we haven’t got to. Obviously with everything that’s happened, we’re excited to get back with him and hang. And be able to perform it,’’ Shay explained.

As for Dan Smyers, he happily welcomed Justine Bieber to the country music genre. And perhaps it is only fitting that this major performance just so happens to be in the middle of Nashville.

Dan said he felt like so many people out of the country world just want to be a part of it, and when they get an experience they fall in love with it.

He said everybody gets along and he thinks other genres kind of look in and are like, ‘’we kind of want that.’’ He thinks that is the reason why a lot of pop artistes gravitate toward collaborating with country artistes.

Spotify announced that the hit had reached 500 million streams on the music platform which left Dan + Shay grateful.

‘’The milestone means so much to us. We’re incredibly grateful to every single one of you for listening,’’ they wrote on Instagram.
